Agilus is recruiting for a Junior Cost Estimator in the Oil and Gas Sector in Calgary, Alberta.This candidate will work on all Development & Manage Projects (D&MP) stage (AACEI Class 1 to 5) estimates. Estimators understand high level / quantity based estimate process, can assist in development of all components of estimate (direct, indirect, engineering, project management, completions & commissioning, escalation and contingency).A typical day:Support development of all types of estimates for individual D&MP stage under supervisionAnalyze / compare various components and metrics with internal / external benchmarksSupport end-to-end estimating process. Assist in development of estimate and benchmarking preparation plan to estimate basis, presentationsAssist in developing benchmarking bundles for various D&MP stagesAttend all corporate required training courses as deem necessary for the positionBe willing to travel to a site location (overnight) as neededSuccessful candidates will have:2 to 5 years of experience in preparing cost estimates for industrial projectsTechnical diploma or University degree. • Exposure to field construction activities for industrial projectsAwareness of Aspen-tech (k-Base) estimating software will be an assetExcellent computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Power BI)Total rewards:Competitive ComepnsationMon to Fri 40 hours per week - Completely onsite role1 year contractCalgary downtown office
