Position Overview:

Almega EMD, a registered exempt market dealer in Ontario, is seeking an experienced and driven Vice President of Sales to spearhead our capital-raising efforts.


The VP Sales will be responsible for raising between $1.5M to $3M per month from accredited investors.


This role requires a registered individual under NI 31-103 and NI 33-109, with a proven track record in investment sales.

The ideal candidate will initially focus on direct sales of Almega EMD's investment products and will have the opportunity to build and lead a sales team as the company grows.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Capital Raising:

  • Develop and implement a strategic plan to raise capital from accredited investors, targeting $1.5M to $3M per month.
  • Identify and engage with potential investors, presenting Almega EMD's investment opportunities in a compelling and professional manner.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with accredited investors, ensuring ongoing engagement and satisfaction.

2. Direct Sales & Execution:

  • Personally handle the initial sales of Almega EMD's investment products, demonstrating expert knowledge of the offerings and market.
  • Take sales leads from initial contact through to the execution of necessary Know Your Client (KYC) and subscription documents, ensuring a seamless investor experience.
  • Conduct presentations, meetings, and follow-ups with potential investors, effectively communicating the value proposition and investment potential.
  • Utilize various sales channels and networks to reach potential investors and expand the company's investor base.

3. Marketing Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the marketing department to create and execute marketing campaigns that align with and support sales goals.
  • Provide insights and feedback to the marketing team to optimize campaign strategies and content for target audiences.
  • Ensure marketing efforts are effectively translated into qualified leads and drive sales conversions.

4. Compliance & Registration:

  • Ensure all sales activities comply with relevant regulations, including NI 31-103 and NI 33-109.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all investor interactions and transactions, adhering to industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

5. Sales Team Development:

  • As the company grows, recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales team.
  • Develop sales training programs and resources to equip the team with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed.
  • Set clear sales targets and KPIs for the team, providing regular performance feedback and coaching.

6. Strategic Leadership:

  • Collaborate with the executive team to align sales strategies with the company's overall business goals and objectives.
  • Analyze market trends and investor feedback to inform product development and marketing strategies.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

7. Networking & Business Development:

  • Represent Almega EMD at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to build brand awareness and establish new connections.
  • Leverage existing networks and develop new relationships to generate leads and expand the company's reach in the investment community.


Qualifications:

  • Must be a registered individual under NI 31-103 and NI 33-109.
  • Proven experience in a senior sales role within the investment or financial services industry, with a strong focus on raising capital from accredited investors.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex investment concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • Strong leadership and team-building abilities, with experience in recruiting, managing, and mentoring sales teams.
  • Excellent networking skills and a well-established network of contacts within the investment community.
  • Results-oriented, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance in the exempt market space.
