With over 10,000 homes completed to date, they manage the development process from acquisition through to post-construction warranty service. They are seeking an Assistant Site Superintendent to assist in managing the construction phases of various projects, ensuring they are on schedule, within budget, and meet the company’s quality standards. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure a seamless construction process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing the construction phases of woodframe townhouse and concrete highrise projects.
- Support the development and maintenance of project schedules, ensuring all activities are completed on time.
- Assist in preparing and managing project budgets, ensuring cost control and value engineering.
- Coordinate with site supervisors, engineers, and consultants to ensure construction plans align with project goals.
- Review and support approval of project plans, specifications, and other documentation.
- Facilitate communication between internal teams and external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
- Assist in conducting risk assessments and developing mitigation strategies for potential project challenges.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Assist in preparing and presenting project reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Support the procurement process, including selecting and negotiating with contractors and suppliers.
- Aid in the transition from design to construction, ensuring a smooth handover to the construction team.
Ideal Candidate Requirements:
- 1-2 years of Superintendent experience, preferably with local experience in woodframe townhouse and concrete highrise projects.
- 3-4 years of Trades experience.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
