About the client:

Our client is a leader in water resource and wastewater management solutions, driving sustainability through innovative technology and expert services. They partner with municipalities, developers, and conservation authorities to deliver cutting-edge solutions in stormwater management, inflow and infiltration reduction, and municipal sewer inspection. They excel in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, environmental assessments, and asset management planning, ensuring optimized drainage systems and sustainable community growth.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate technical work for Project Analysts.
  • Lead Water and Wastewater Capacity Assessments for development applications.
  • Manage municipal projects, including EA studies and Master Plans.
  • Allocate resources, approve time, and collaborate with Finance on invoicing and A/R follow-ups.
  • Serve as a technical liaison with private developers, municipal staff, and stakeholders.
  • Write and review technical reports and documents.
  • Ensure the quality of technical and graphical work by Project Analysts.
  • Review flow and rain monitoring data and hydraulic model results.
  • Coordinate tasks with other Business Units and contribute to proposal development.
  • Mentor intermediate and junior team members.
  • Prepare engineering services, scope of work, and associated budgets.
  • Perform project management duties.
  • Prepare studies, reports, design documents, and design plans and specifications for storm, water, and wastewater projects.
  • Prepare storm, water, and wastewater hydraulic models, including model calibration, minor system capacity analysis, HGL analysis, dual drainage modeling, watershed analysis, hydrograph and peak discharge development and routing, flood analysis, stormwater quantity/quality calculations, and watermain analysis.
  • Complete engineering analysis and calculations.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Water Resources Engineering.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in stormwater, hydraulic, sanitary, and wastewater modeling.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng) certification.
  • Proficient in project management, hydrology, hydraulics, and hydrodynamic models.
  • Knowledge of Inflow/Infiltration (I/I) reduction strategies and flow/rainfall monitoring.
  • Strong problem-solving, hydrology and hydraulic modeling, and GIS skills.
  • Excellent data analysis, business development, and communication skills.
  • Ability to mentor junior associates and effectively engage with clients.
  • Extensive experience in documentation and reporting.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
