You’re motivated to join a growing and dynamic team.Job DescriptionTake a lead role in interfacing with the client and other consultants & advise clients on financial and contractual risks.Mentor and coach junior staff.Provide accurate cost estimates at all project phases, including feasibility studies, design, and construction.Lead the preparation of cost estimates & cost comparison exercises, including preparing and checking quantity take-offs, accurately describing the project scope, conducting QA/QC and obtaining market related pricing.Prepare benchmarking reports, cost reports, unit rate analysis, and undertake value management.Support research related to construction market conditions across Canada, including analysis of official published data.Develop and manage budgets while ensuring expenditure traceability.Review commercial claims.Manage post‑contract cost management, including forecasting, change management, cost reconciliations and cost reporting.Prepare and evaluate tender calls, and advise on contract awards.Conduct financial variance analyses and recommend corrective actions.Supervise and validate payments to contractors and suppliers.Qualifications8+ years of experience in cost management.Recognized university degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject.Membership of relevant professional organizations such as the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (CIQS) or the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).Reliability clearance with the Government of Canada or ability to obtain it.Knowledge of and experience using CostX is an asset.Benefits100% covered health and dental benefits for you and your dependents (including paramedical services).Health spending account to top up expenses not covered in the benefits program.RRSP option with company matching.Annual learning and development budget.Access to a range of online learning tools, and support for career development and growth.Coverage of one professional membership or license fee per year if directly related to your role.Work‑life balance with vacation, flex and sick days.Flexible, hybrid work approach that allows colleagues to balance professional and personal lives.Commitment to creating a diverse, equitable and inclusive culture that promotes a sense of belonging.Our CommitmentWe are an equal‑opportunity employer and encourage applications from individuals regardless of race, colour, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity, or any other legally protected ground.
