As a growing semi-rural dispensing and training practice, operating over 4 sites, we are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Salaried GP to join our team at Brampton Medical Practice.We are seeking applicants who can commit to a minimum of 4 sessions per week. We offer a supportive, friendly team environment and a patient-centred approach, serving a diverse local community of around 16'700 patientsMain duties of the jobWe are seeking a forward-thinking GP who is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred services.About usBrampton Medical Practice have 6 GP Partners, Business Manager/PCN Operational Lead and Senior Leadership TeamSalaried GP's, ANPs, Clinical Pharmacists, Practice Nurses, Frailty Nurses and Healthcare AssistantsWe have experienced & dedicated, receptionists, admin/secretarial team, Dispensary and PCN Teams who are all committed to providing high quality, friendly and personal primary care.We are the lead practice of Carlisle Rural Primary Care Network and a member practice of the newly formed North Cumbria Collaborative/Federation. We are also a GP training practice, hosting junior doctors and student doctors.The practice has been rated as Good by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).Along with your CV, please provide a brief summary telling us about yourself and future career aspirations.Any A1 generated documentation will not be considered.No agencies, thank you.Job responsibilitiesClinicalresponsibilities:In accordance with the practice clinical rota,as agreed, the post-holder will make themselves available to undertake avariety of duties, including in practice consultations, telephoneconsultations and queries, checking and signing repeat prescriptions anddealing with queries, paperwork and online and normal correspondence in atimely fashionMaking professional, autonomous decisions inrelation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred fromother health care workers within the organisationAssessing the health care needs of patientswith undifferentiated and undiagnosed problemsScreening patients for disease risk factorsand early signs of illnessProviding counselling and health educationRecording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreedstandardsCompiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeatprescriptions (avoiding hand-written prescriptions whenever possiblePrescribing in accordance with the practice prescribing formulary(or generically) whenever this is clinically appropriateIn general, the post-holder will be expected to undertake all thenormal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working withinprimary care.Other responsibilitiesAwareness of andcompliance with all relevant practice policies/guidelines, e.g.prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health and safetyA commitment tolife-long learning and audit to ensure evidence-based best practiceContributing toevaluation/audit and clinical standard setting within the organisationContributing tothe development of computer-based patient recordsContributing tothe summarising of patient records and read-coding patient dataParticipate inincentives such as Enhanced Services and QoF as directedAttendingtraining and events organised by the practice or other agencies, whereappropriate.Person SpecificationQualificationsFull GMC Registration with a licence to practise and entry on the GP RegisterCertificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in General Practice / CertificateConfirming Eligibility for General Practice Registration (CEGPR), or equivalentIncluded on a Medical Performers List or eligibleEvidence of continuous professional developmentEvidence of other specialist interest /development / trainingExperienceFull GMC registrationOn the Medical Performers List (and never removed for a detrimental reason)Eligible to work in the UKMembership of a recognised defence unionAbility to provide complete details ofemployment historyFitness to Practice:Up to date and fit to practice safelyHealth:Meets Occupational Health requirements (in line with GMC standards/Good Medical Practice)OtherHolds current valid driving licence or provides evidence of proposed alternative as means of providing emergency and domiciliary care to fulfil requirements.Ability to cover on call duties.Skills & KnowledgeSkills and KnowledgeExcellent interpersonal skillsFlexible and adaptable, able to multitaskTeam playerDemonstrate commitment to respecting diversity and equality of opportunityCommitment to reflective practice and the continuous improvement of own performance.Clinical Skills:Clinical knowledge & Expertise: sound clinical knowledge and commitment to high quality clinical care.The ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of patients.A good understanding of Clinical Governance and quality issues as well as current health and social policy.Disclosure and Barring Service CheckThis post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.Brampton Medical Practice Branch Surgery #J-18808-Ljbffr
