Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of sustainable design strategies for architectural projects.
  • Conduct environmental impact assessments, life cycle analyses, and energy modeling.
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend sustainable materials, technologies, and construction methods.
  • Advise design teams on achieving green building certifications (e.g., Green Star SA, LEED).
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to integrate sustainability goals into project briefs and deliverables.
  • Mentor junior architects and designers on best practices in sustainable architecture and resilient design.

Requirements

  • Professional registration as an Architect with SACAP.
  • Minimum of 9 years of experience, with a substantial focus on sustainable design and green building principles.
  • Demonstrated expertise in sustainable design frameworks, energy-efficient building systems, and renewable energy integration.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant environmental regulations and green building rating systems.
  • Proficiency in sustainability analysis software and advanced Revit capabilities for integrated design.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, adept at remote collaboration.
