POSITION SUMMARY


Preventative Maintenance Coordinators play a crucial role in ensuring that equipment and facilities run efficiently and experience minimal downtime. They are responsible for planning, scheduling, and overseeing maintenance activities to prevent unexpected breakdowns and costly repairs. Preventative Maintenance Coordinator ensures that all maintenance activities are planned, executed, and documented efficiently to keep equipment and facilities in optimal condition. This role is critical in minimizing downtime, reducing maintenance costs, and enhancing the overall productivity of an organization.

Responsibilities Planning and Scheduling:

  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans with the maintenance Manager for all equipment within the facility.
  • Schedule regular inspections, servicing, and repairs to ensure optimal performance and longevity of assets.

Maintenance Coordination:

  • Coordinate with maintenance teams, technicians, and other departments to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, parts and repairs.

Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Monitor equipment performance and identify potential issues before they lead to breakdowns.
  • Generate reports on maintenance activities, equipment performance, and cost savings achieved through preventative measures.

Inventory Management:

  • Manage inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies with the parts cage coordinator, that are required for maintenance activities.
  • Ensuring timely procurement of necessary items to avoid delays in maintenance tasks.

Compliance and Safety:

  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Conduct safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Manage Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) with accuracy, usage, and compliance in areas of managing maintenance activities, including work orders, asset management, inventory control, and preventive maintenance scheduling.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Analyze maintenance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Implement best practices and new technologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of maintenance operations.


Education/Skills/Experience

  • A degree or diploma in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering, or a related field.
