Reporting to the Corporate Senior Buyer, the selected candidate will play a key role in supporting refinery operations by managing the procurement of goods, services, and essential chemicals for production.Roles and ResponsibilitiesProcess and support purchase requests in internal systems (Maximo / Business Central)Manage chemical inventory and ensure timely replenishmentHandle and follow up on purchase ordersAnalyze and challenge supplier quotesIdentify and qualify new sources of supplyNegotiate purchasing terms and contracts to minimize company riskMonitor the execution of agreements and service contractsCollaborate closely with internal teams to achieve procurement objectivesUpdate and maintain procurement documentation (ISO)Conduct regular supplier evaluationsParticipate in continuous improvement of purchasing processes and budget planningManage non-conformities in collaboration with internal teams and suppliersCoordinate production trials for new chemicalsProvide backup support for other members of the procurement team as neededCandidate ProfileBachelor's degree in Business Administration or a Supply Chain Management certificateMinimum 5 years of experience as a Buyer, ideally in the food or manufacturing industryExcellent understanding of purchasing processes and technical aspectsBasic financial knowledgeGood knowledge of maintenance parts market (plumbing, electrical, packaging, construction materials, etc.) and chemicalsProficient in MS Office, Outlook, Maximo, and Business CentralKnowledge of ISO, HACCP, and FSSC22000 standardsStrong analytical, prioritization, and organizational skillsAutonomy, rigor, sense of responsibility, and stress managementExcellent negotiation and communication skillsTeam player with a results-oriented mindsetFluent in French and English (communication with bilingual sites and suppliers)What We OfferCompetitive salary and performance bonusWork-life balance (vacation and personal days)Employer-contributed retirement planComprehensive health insurance, including dental and life insuranceEmployee Assistance ProgramPersonal benefits account and allowance for physical activitiesEmployee stock purchase plan and ongoing training
