Role Overview The Director, Pharmaceutical Partnerships reports directly to the Sr. Director, Sanis Operations and Planning. This role drives and executes the enterprise financial plan by managing the generic portfolio, vendor relationships, sales planning, and program management. The four key focus areas are financial planning and delivery, vendor portfolio management, contract management, and retail operations special projects. Key Responsibilities Manage and negotiate with generic pharmaceutical partners, ensuring performance and alignment through regular business reviews. Lead business development opportunities supporting product and partner selection strategy. Lead data and analytics supporting partner strategy for generic specialty products. Support enterprise revenue verticals through collaboration with the broader Pharmacy team. Manage quarterly business reviews and financial reconciliations with multiple generic vendors. Manage each generic vendor’s portfolio to ensure performance targets are met. Forecast new generic launches and incorporate them into the financial plan using internal and external data. Handle all impacts of provincial pharmaceutical reform on the financial plan. Ensure programs run effectively and meet all competitive and regulatory standards. Collaborate with internal legal and regulatory directors to ensure programs comply with requirements. Review market data to provide insights into current trends and dynamics. Lead and execute strategic initiatives to maximize portfolio performance and identify efficiency opportunities. Supervision & Leadership Directly manages 2 staff members and 4 indirect reports. Education & Experience University degree in business, science, or a related field. Advanced analytical abilities with sound knowledge of quantitative decision models. Proven relationship management (internal and external) skills. Prior experience in the Canadian pharmaceutical industry (generic pharma preferred). Ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives with urgency. Desired Qualifications Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Detail-oriented, diplomatic team player with a proactive results orientation. Strong professional presence, planning, and organizational skills. Ability to deliver results in a high-pressure environment, setting priorities and meeting deadlines. Strong analytical skills and the capacity to communicate rationale to all organizational levels. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Access. Able to travel approximately 5‑10% of the time. Self-starter with demonstrated initiative and prioritization.
