Qualifications: Essential: Post-secondary education in Education, Instructional Design/Technology, Adult Education and Principles of Learning or another relevant discipline. An equivalent combination of education and training and relevant experience may be considered. Experience with Prior Learning theory, practices, concepts and assessments. Experience developing, reviewing and validating certification materials for testing and training. Experience reviewing accreditation policies and procedures. Strong project management experience including initiating scope of work, planning, implementing and evaluating projects.  Excellent organizational and time management skills, including the ability to work under pressure, within tight timelines, and manage a varied workload with changing priorities.  Effective critical thinking and problem solving skills. Excellent verbal communication skills. Excellent written communication skills.  Effective interpersonal skills with experience establishing collaborative, client-focused relationships with diverse stakeholders. Strong political acumen and the ability to manage confidential, controversial and politically sensitive materials with tact and diplomacy. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint). Desired: Experience with National Occupational Competency profile (NOCP). Duties: Reporting to the Director, the Accreditation Specialist is responsible for achieving and sustaining the Manitoba Emergency Services College’s accreditation and regulatory program approvals for 33 technical, professional, and continuing education programs. The position provides leadership and direction on all accreditation and certification processes and is responsible for planning and coordinating all certification activities and site survey visits.

Working with program approval entities and various partners, they establish and implement adult education program service delivery practices and processes, including continuous quality improvement programs, service delivery evaluations, project management, and project planning on new and existing accreditation requirements. The incumbent will monitor teaching, testing, and program service delivery practices, preparing and submitting required reports to program approval bodies, articulating how the MESC complies with all codes, national, and international standards.
