In addition to salary, you are entitled to an isolated posts allowance. This can range from $19, to $27, per year, depending on the number of dependants and the geographic location. You are also entitled to vacation travel allowance of approximately $1, once a year for you and each eligible dependant.

As a federal government employee, you will also receive a comprehensive benefit package including an employee pension plan and health, dental and group insurance.

Workplace and telework:

Employees must perform their duties from a government of Canada physical workplace at least 2-3 days each week, or 40-60% of their regular schedule. The workplace of the positions to be filled is located in Yellowknife, NT. Successful candidates will be required to work at the work site, either full-time or in a hybrid work mode. A part-time telework agreement may be discussed and implemented at the time of hiring in accordance with the operational needs of the position to be filled.

Intent of the process

This inventory will be used to fill current vacancies and to establish a pool of qualified candidates for future opportunities. It may also be used to staff similar positions with various tenures (Deployment, Assignment, Secondment, Acting, Term or Indeterminate) within the Northwest Territories only, with various security requirements (reliability or secret).

The following criteria will be assessed using your resume and the online screening questions. To be selected, you must demonstrate when, where and how you acquired each of the qualifications by giving concrete examples.

A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives.

Note: The employer-approved alternatives to a secondary school diploma are:
- A satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma; or
- An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Experience providing advice to Manager/Supervisor or equivalent.
Experience in interpreting and applying policies or procedures.

Graduation with a degree or diploma or certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution.

Experience working on files impacting Indigenous people.

Conditions of employment

The following conditions must also be met on taking up the position and maintained throughout the employment:
