Position Summary

As a Pharmacy Porter, you will be an integral part of a collaborative team focused on delivering seamless services and programs to our clients and customers. If you are looking for a company that is constantly moving forward in pursuit of successful outcomes, get ready to love it here

Hours of Work: Permanent part-time, 25 hours per week: 11:30 to 16:30 Monday to Friday

Internal applications for this position within our UFCW bargaining unit must be received within 7 days of this position being posted to have seniority considered.

What you'll be doing

• Lifting, loading and transporting unit dose carts or unit dose cassettes from Pharmacy to all nursing units
• Sanitizing patient cassettes/carts for infection control
• Delivering and/or picking up medications for all patient care units either as scheduled or unscheduled
• Scanning, photocopying and shredding documents
• Assisting others within the Pharmacy Department, e.g. answering telephone calls

What we're looking for

• Completion of secondary school
• Hospital pharmacy experience is an asset
• Evidence of good work and attendance record
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Knowledge and commitment to working within Homewood's Health & Safety Standards
