- Determine picture composition, make technical adjustments to equipment and photograph subject
- Operate computers to manipulate photographic images
- Study requirements of a particular assignment and decide on type of camera, film, lighting and background accessories to be used
- Take pictures of individuals, families, groups and public
- Use airbrush, computer or other techniques to retouch negatives
- Maintain and manage digital database
- Liaise with authors, composers, producers and directors
- Operate various computer-controlled studio systems to perform colour separation, retouching and editing that allow changes to be made to a colour negative for printing purposesPhotographic techniques
