Vos responsabilités - Votre carrière à Moneris
  • Analyser les exigences, concevoir, élaborer, mettre à jour et réparer les solutions qui se rapportent à l'amélioration du produit par le développement, la conception et/ou la veille stratégique.
  • Analyser les exigences opérationnelles pour les problèmes complexes afin de déterminer la meilleure solution; une certaine interaction de l'utilisateur peut être nécessaire.
  • Effectuer une analyse des données à l'appui des exigences opérationnelles et transférer les concepts de conception dans tous les environnements
  • Participer à l'architecture, à la conception et à la mise en œuvre de logiciels complexes, y compris avoir démontré une connaissance des meilleures pratiques de développement de logiciels pour l'ensemble du cycle de vie du développement de logiciels, y compris les normes de codage, les revues de code, la gestion du contrôle des sources, créer des processus, des tests et des opérations.
  • Élaborer des solutions qui exploitent des plateformes clés qui alimentent notre entreprise et communiquent efficacement les progrès/approches avec des détails techniques et non techniques.
  • Travailler directement avec les utilisateurs de votre logiciel afin de bien comprendre le domaine et de cerner les possibilités d'amélioration et d'optimisation.
  • Concevoir de nouvelles fonctionnalités ou réorganiser les domaines pour l'amélioration de l'utilisateur et du rendement.
Votre profil - Votre carrière à Moneris
  • Baccalauréat requis en génie logiciel, informatique ou expérience de travail équivalente dans un environnement technologique ou commercial
  • Au moins 4 ans d'expérience de travail dans des environnements de développement, de conception et/ou de veille stratégique
  • Très bonne maîtrise du développement logiciel (RPG/AS400) à travers de multiples étapes de projet; et contribuant à l'architecture et à la conception de systèmes nouveaux et actuels
  • Développer et prendre en charge des types de programmes modérément différents dans les applications utilisant ILE RPG en utilisant IBM iSeries Systems et la base de données DB2, avec de solides compétences SQL
  • Expérience d'autres langages de programmation, de préférence Java, et capacité à utiliser et à contribuer au code dans GitLab avec le développement d'API
  • Être à l'aise dans un environnement Agile/Scrum/DevOps.

Your Moneris Career - The Opportunity
Our team is looking for an RPG/AS400 Software Developer who will collaborate with other technology teams to design, develop and implement software systems and solutions architecture critical to Moneris' business operations. This is an opportunity for a technical professional who enjoys solving multiple complex problems in a creative way, exercising judgement based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.

Location: You will work from either our Toronto, Montreal or Sackville office in a Hybrid work model.

Reporting Relationship: You will report to the Manager, Software Development and Architecture

Your Moneris Career - What you'll do
  • Analyze requirements, design, update and repair solutions that pertain to improving the product through development, or business intelligence.
  • Analyze business requirements for complex issues to determine the best solution; some user interaction may be required.
  • Conduct data analysis to support business requirements, can transfer design concepts across environments.
  • Participate in the architecture, design and implementation of complex software including having demonstrated knowledge of software development best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Builds solutions that operate key platforms that power our business and communicates effectively progress/approach with technical and non-technical details.
  • Works directly with the users of your software, to deeply understand the domain and identify opportunities for optimizations
  • Conceives of new features or re-architecting areas for user and performance improvement.
Your Moneris Career - What you bring
  • Bachelor's degree required in Software Engineering, Computer Science; or equivalent work experience in a Technology or business environment
  • Minimum 4 years of experience working in software development, or business intelligence environments
  • Proficient in software development (RPG/AS400) across multiple project steps; and contribute to the architecture and design of new and current systems
  • Develop and support moderately different type of programs in applications using ILE RPG using IBM iSeries Systems, and DB2 database, with strong SQL skills
  • Experience with other programming languages Java and ability to use and contribute to code in GitLab with API development
  • Comfortable in an Agile/Scrum/DevOps environment.
