Job Description

As an Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transferring cargo between transportation vehicles, including inventory and storage. You will work in a dynamic environment with varying weather conditions and be required to:

  • Operate lift trucks to unload cargo from trucks and rail cars, and load export containers
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve goals and meet deadlines
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and customers to ensure smooth operations
  • Perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and kneeling to move cargo
Working Conditions

You will work in a fast-paced outdoor environment with varying weather conditions, including:

  • Ability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Exposure to dust, pollen, noise, and vibrations
  • Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, and performing overhead work
  • Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds (22 kg) and occasionally up to 70 pounds (32 kg)
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to:

  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent General Education Diploma (GED)
  • Hold a valid driver's license
  • Have good hand-eye coordination and customer service skills
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team
Asset

Having a Class 1 driver's license is an asset.
