We are seeking a highly skilled Product Operations Manager to join our team at Indigo Books & Music. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the profitable movement of goods throughout the product life cycle.
Key Responsibilities- Operational Excellence: Manage and motivate a team to ensure operational excellence and the profitable movement of goods throughout the product life cycle.
- Process Improvement: Ensure efficiency and effectiveness of product flow processes by assessing and analyzing sales performance and key process scorecard data and creating action plans to address gaps.
- Visual Merchandising: Partner on regular visual merchandising assessments; provide product flow insight and create and own the resulting action plan.
- Store Operations: Lead changeover process, and partner with General Manager, Regional Visual Manager, on home-office merchandising initiatives and facilities work.
- Customer Focus: Act as an advocate for the customer by placing them at the forefront of all decision-making processes.
- Technology Adoption: Embrace and champion technology that creates high tech and high touch solutions for Indigo's customers.
- Proactive Problem-Solving: Proactively identify and anticipate customer expectations and needs.
- Store Management: Open and close store and manages sales floor.
- Health and Safety: Lead the store's joint health and safety committee, ensure the health and safety of employees and customers is top priority, and ensure the store complies with all provincial health and safety policies and procedures.
- Education: College degree preferred or equivalent job experience.
- Experience: 2-3 years of management experience in specialty retail and/or multi-unit retail business environment.
- Physical Demands: Ability to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods of time. Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays. Ability to lift medium to large items, up to 40 pounds, while using appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
- Language: Bilingualism (French/English) is required for all positions in Quebec.
