The Board of Directors of the Windsor Elms Village (WEV) in beautiful Falmouth, Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia, is seeking their next Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This is an opportunity for the right person to lead one of the most innovative, resident-directed nursing homes in Nova Scotia.

You will be part of a culture that embraces equity, diversity, inclusion and a team that lives and breathes the guiding principles of the Eden Alternative Philosophy of Care where kindness, generosity, and respect are displayed daily by 108 residents who call the WEV their home and 275 care partners who believe WEV is the best place to work.

As CEO, you will be accountable for the day-to-day oversight and leadership of the management team in achieving the Board's strategic directions. You will seek new and innovative partnerships that enrich care delivery and strengthens the long term care sector in Nova Scotia. As a champion of the Eden journey, you will ensure milestones are achieved and the care philosophy lives in the stories our residents share.

Do you have what we want?

As a skilled professional, you understand the importance of building trusting relationships with care partners; residents and their families; business and industry; all three levels of government, and the community.

Ideally, you have senior leader experience in long term care or other segments of healthcare. You are experienced in change management, a progressive thought leader, solutions seeker and strategic partner who looks for impactful opportunities. You are committed to developing your team and adhering to provincial care standards.

You have experience working closely with a Board of Directors and understand the role board governance plays and the importance of policy adherence, strategic implementation, and the overall accountability to the Board.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred in health administration (MHA), master's in business administration (MBA), Master of Science (MSc)

· 10+ years of relevant experience with at least 10+ years in senior leadership roles.

· Experience in healthcare, senior care, long term care preferred.

· Strong business/financial acumen.

· Certificate designation in Leadership and/or Human Resources.

· Professional experience in labour management.
