Job Title: Electrical and Instrumentation Field Technician
This is a temporary, full-time, hourly-paid position at our Allan Potash site, starting in September 2024 for approximately 12 months. The ideal candidate will be a current student returning to their studies after completing this work term.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct electrical and instrumentation field checks
- Assist in the development of mine management monitoring
- Assist in planning and preventative maintenance
- Generate engineering documents, such as datasheets and drawings
- Complete low and high voltage power distribution drawings and data management
- Arc Flash data collection, entry into ETAP, and equipment labeling
- Develop electrical controls and automation solutions
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years completed post-secondary in a related discipline
- Excellent organizational skills and a safety mindset
- Well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal
- Advanced computer skills
- Past experience in an industrial setting would be an asset
