Speech Language Pathologist required to provide services to adult population in a hospital setting.

The Speech Language Pathologist will plan, organize and implement speech and language services under the direction of the Manager of Rehabilitation Services.

The ideal candidate will have a Master of Speech Language Pathology degree and be a member of the Saskatchewan Association of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists.

The Speech Language Pathologist will work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide services to patients.

The successful candidate will have advanced communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.

The Speech Language Pathologist will be required to travel within the region and province.

Preference will be given to HSAS members as per the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement.

HSAS seniority in the SHA will be considered under the selection criteria.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Plan, organize and implement speech and language services for adult population.
    • Complete speech, language, and swallowing/feeding assessments and treatments according to departmental procedure, best practices and established standards of practice, professional competency.
  • Requirements:
    • Master of Speech Language Pathology degree.
    • Valid Class 5 driver's license.
    • Member of the Saskatchewan Association of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists.
  • Competencies:
    • Advanced - Communication skills.
    • Advanced - Organizational skills.
    • Advanced - Interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge and Abilities:
    • Ability to work independently.
    • Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
