About the Role- As a Specialist Engineer (Electrical), you will serve as an electrical subject matter expert and technical authority for our mine hoist and shafts technical team.
- You will lead the development of technical guidelines and lead technical process/routines for the mines, hoists, and shaft team.
- You will consult with senior engineers and other cross-functional team members on mine hoist and shaft designs and project scoping.
- You will conduct ongoing electrical testing on mine hoists and electric drives.
- You will act as a technical authority and company advocate on national code/policy committees relating to mine hoists and shafts.
- You will develop creative ideas for problems with no obvious solution and understand the needs of management and internal and external clients.
- You will research and stay current on new technologies specific to mine, hoists, and shafts.
- You have a PEng, Electrical (Ontario) and a minimum of 8 years' professional experience in mines, hoists, and shafts.
