Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Bakery Associate to join our team at Walmart Canada. As a Bakery Associate, you will play a critical role in maintaining the quality and appearance of our bakery department, ensuring that our customers receive the best possible shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Ensure the quality and visual appeal of bakery department merchandise, including bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
  2. Maintain a fully stocked bakery department, ready for business, and ensure that merchandise is properly signed and priced.
  3. Adhere to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates.
  4. Follow proper procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels, and prepare bakery merchandise by accurately following thawing and baking guidelines.
  5. Ensure all displays are secured in a safe and proper manner.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will also need to be able to lift up to 25 kg and stand for long periods of time.
