As part of the Digital Transformation Office, this position is responsible for leading a team that ensures the stability, security, and integrity of SE Health's IT infrastructure. As we embark on a massive transformation project to replace legacy enterprise systems and infrastructure with an eye to a "cloud first" strategy, the role provides the strategic direction to the design of the core IT services, network, and infrastructure.

This role is also a key member of the IT senior leadership team, helping set the strategy, manage the delivery and support of strategic initiatives and day to day operations of the platforms supporting our corporate services, operating units, and front line employees that provide care to our clients.

Overview of role

  • Hire and develop IT staff, ensure efficient team structure & allocation of resources.
  • Create a culture of alignment with SE Health's Values and Technology philosophies with a keen eye towards building Privacy and Security into every initiative we undertake.
  • Liaise and influence Sr. Management, Vendors and Funders regarding vision of IT strategies
  • Establish new Service Level Agreements for compliance & optimization and assist in negotiating contracts for services and equipment purchases. Ensure compliance with ongoing SLA's and management of such.
  • Guide the development of a new vision for service management and asset management, utilizing revamped, cloud based tools. Assist with Support Ticket and Call Management, and day to day issue resolution of systems when escalated. Manage end user support ensuring front line employees can provide exceptional care. Establish ITSM plans and execute on improvement and rollout.
  • Manage legacy infrastructure, network, and telephony including ongoing maintenance to support our existing operations as we transition to new platforms for our enterprise systems. Lead transition of infrastructure from legacy technologies to modernized, efficient, scalable, and secure technologies.
  • Ensure services and tools are consistently deployed, executed, measured, monitored, and improved for Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Asset Management, Configuration Management (CMDB), Capacity Management, etc.
  • Establish and test DR and BCP practices and maintain the runbooks to match new and upgraded systems.
  • Maintain compliance to IT security policies and processes and participate in major incident management and root cause analysis (RCA) investigations. Assist with IT Security Incident management and response.

Candidate Requirements

  • 10 years IT infrastructure experience working in progressive roles, in a regulated industry.
  • University Degree in IT, or related field
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including Microsoft Azure, Intune, Microsoft/Office 365, VMware, Nutanix Hyperconverged technology, Windows & Linux Servers, Palo Alto Firewalls, Microsoft SQL, Cisco Networking, Zerto, Avaya Telephony and Call Center technologies.
  • Strong leadership skills, including employee development and coaching skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Results-oriented with analytical problem-solving skills
  • Creative and innovative, with digital transformation experience
  • Experience with finance (accounting, budgeting, forecasting) and Legal/Regulatory experience as it relates to data privacy and compliance.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • This is a hybrid role and requires coming into the Markham office 1-2 days/week on as needed
