As an Electrical Instrumentation Engineering Technologist, you will be part of a team that builds professional relationships that thrive. You will provide detailed technical assistance on electrical and instrumentation systems, analyze problems, and take measures to rectify. You will also maintain up-to-date calibration procedures and carry out on-site facility calibrations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the operation and/or maintenance of RCAF engine test facilities
  • Provide detailed technical assistance on electrical and instrumentation systems
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers, contractors, and in-house support staff
  • Analyze problems and take measures to rectify
  • Provide on-site support
  • Documentation, report preparation, and administrative tasks
  • Maintain up-to-date calibration procedures and carry out on-site facility calibrations
Requirements:
  • Engineering technologist diploma or equivalent experience relating to the repair and calibration of electronic instruments, electrical systems, data acquisition, instrumentation, and control systems
  • Working knowledge of engine test technology
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge of instrumentation systems, functions, and limitations as well as calibration requirements and accuracies
  • Knowledge of electronics, mathematics, and measurement technology to diagnose, calibrate, and repair electrical measurement systems and instruments
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings
  • Understanding of engine operation and test parameters, both at a theoretical level and practical level
