Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve food to residents or patients in an assisted living or medical facility, adhering to therapeutic diets and portion standards.
- Assist with food preparation, setting, clearing, cleaning, and sanitizing dining spaces, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Monitor and restock service areas, ensuring adequate supplies and equipment are available.
- Implement HACCP guidelines to ensure safe food handling and preparation methods.
- Support special function catering as delegated, providing exceptional customer service.
Requirements:
- Valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent.
- Previous experience as a dietary aide or in hospitality and customer service.
- Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines, with the ability to apply them in a fast-paced environment.
- Skilled in preparing meals according to instructions, with attention to detail and quality.
- Excellent time-management skills and ability to multitask, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues to achieve goals.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with residents, patients, and staff.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position, with the stamina to work in a dynamic environment.
