Bike Workshop Technician

Job Summary

The technician is responsible for maintaining, adjusting, and repairing the equipment entrusted by customers.

Roles and Responsibilities

Customer Service

• Welcome customers warmly;
• Listen, advise, and assist customers with their needs;
• Diagnose and estimate repair and maintenance costs for equipment brought to the workshop; occasionally provide advice to customers;
• Inspect products to determine necessary repairs;
• Complete necessary repair forms;
• Perform bicycle repairs as needed;
• Assemble equipment according to established standards;
• Inspect and adjust repaired products to ensure proper functionality;

Cash Management

• Process payments in cash, credit, or debit;
• Record sales details on the register;
• Balance the cash register;
• Manage various cash-related operations;

Related Tasks

• Promote a spirit of cooperation;
• Keep the workshop space clean and tidy;
• Assist with rentals during peak hours (bike adjustments);
• Inspect rental bikes;
• Repair rental bikes based on inspections;
• And all other related tasks.

Schedule and Duration

Seasonal position, potential for year-round employment with the ski workshop in winter;
Full-time or part-time (including weekends);

Qualifications

• Experience as a workshop technician;
• Knowledge of the ski and bike industry;
• Bicycle mechanics knowledge (an asset);
• Manual dexterity;
