About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiological Technologist to join our team as a Quality Control Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing quality control procedures to ensure the highest standards of image quality, equipment performance, and radiation safety in our Diagnostic Imaging department.

As a Quality Control Specialist, you will work closely with our Diagnostic Medical Physics team to develop and implement quality control protocols, conduct regular equipment checks, and provide training to staff and students on imaging quality control and radiation safety procedures.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and ever-evolving healthcare environment.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A graduate degree in Radiological Technology from an accredited institution
  • Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification
  • Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure
  • A minimum of 3 years of recent and relevant experience in a Diagnostic Imaging department
  • Advanced knowledge of imaging quality control, digital imaging techniques, and radiation safety
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical stamina to perform the duties of the position
Hours and Compensation

This is a permanent full-time position with a 75-hour biweekly schedule. You will be required to work shift work, including evenings, nights, and weekends. The hourly rate for this position is $41.76.
