Homestead Auto Repair Limited is seeking a motivated and skilled individual who is either a 4th year Apprentice or Red Seal Licenced Automotive Service Technician to join our growing team.

We are a reputable and customer focused automotive service center committed to providing top quality repairs and maintenance for a wide range of vehicles. You will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop your skills while working alongside our experienced team.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
  • Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections to identify any potential issues or needed repairs.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical malfunction in accordance with industry standards.
  • Utilize diagnostic equipment and computer systems to identify and troubleshoot vehicle problems.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repair options, answering inquiries, and addressing customer concerns.
  • Keep accurate records of all services performed and parts used.
  • Maintain clean and organized work environment.
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Stay up to date with the latest automotive technology and advancements through continuous learning and training.

Requirements:

  • Completion of an accredited automotive service technician program or equivalent experience.
  • Possession of an Automotive Service Technician Apprentice Licence (4th year) or Automotive Service Technician License (depending on level of experience).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and a passion for the automotive industry.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with customers and provide clear explanations of repair procedures.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record - Driver's Abstract must be supplied
  • Have basic mechanic required tools (Specialty shop tools provided)
