We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diagnostic Sonographer to join our team at Markham Stouffville Hospital Corporation. As a Diagnostic Sonographer, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality ultrasound imaging services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Perform high-quality ultrasound examinations, including general abdomen and gynecological, small parts, routine/high risk obstetrics, and vascular studies.
- Work independently and as part of a dynamic team of professionals to achieve excellent patient care outcomes.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
- Develop and maintain a high level of expertise in ultrasound imaging techniques and technologies.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with industry advancements and best practices.
- Current membership and good standing with the Canadian Medical and Biological Engineering Society (CMBES).
- Graduate from an accredited Canadian ultrasound program or equivalent education.
- Preferred credentials include Sonography Canada certification and professional liability insurance.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in diagnostic sonography, with a strong background in general imaging, obstetrics, vascular, and small parts.
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and prioritization skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient computer skills and experience with ultrasound imaging software.
- Demonstrated commitment to a healthy and safe workplace, with a strong focus on patient-centered care.
