About the Role- Work in a dynamic and caring environment with a team of dedicated healthcare professionals
- Assist pharmacists in maintaining high standards of client relations and performing technical aspects related to prescription dispensing responsibilities
- Prepare and compound extemporaneous products using appropriate techniques under the supervision of a pharmacist
- Perform activities related to the maintenance and operation of Outpatient Pharmacy services
- Handle inventory and supplies and manage operations of blister packaging automation
- Perform other duties consistent with the job classification, as required
- Completion of an accredited college-level Pharmacy Technician Program
- Certification with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (CPhT) or completion of Pharmacy Examination Board of Canada (PEBC) Evaluating Exam
- Certificate of competency from the Pharmacy Examination Board of Canada (optional)
- Active licensure with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP) as Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to work under minimal supervision and manage competing priorities/deadlines
- Ability to learn and troubleshoot changing technologies/machinery
- Ability to work variable shifts
- Experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Manual billing, out-of-province billing, and specialty medications billing experience
- Experience with pharmacy inventory and supplies management
