About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our Enhanced Care Program team at Fraser Health Authority. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing specialized occupational therapy services to clients, promoting functional independence and occupational performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' functional capacity, occupational profiles, and support needs to develop effective service plans.
  • Provide individual and group interventions, including client education and training, to enhance clients' occupational performance and independence.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, community agencies, and clients' support systems to ensure coordinated and effective service delivery.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with community agencies to promote client participation and access to resources.
  • Conduct home assessments and community visits to identify environmental barriers and provide recommendations for modifications to ensure accessibility.
  • Prescribe and recommend adaptive aids and equipment to support clients' occupational performance.
  • Provide education and training to clients, families, and healthcare professionals on independent living skills, occupational performance, and environmental adaptations.
  • Participate in quality improvement and risk management activities to ensure high-quality service delivery and patient safety.
Requirements
  • Current full registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC).
  • Two (2) years' recent related experience working in a community setting, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Valid B.C. Class V Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for business purposes.
