Job Description
The Project Management and Planning Specialist will consult and engage with leadership for planning and project management services. Services include scope development, feasibility, estimating, risk analysis, scheduling, drawing production, code reviews, infection control requirements, staging, commissioning, project reporting, approvals processes, and financial management. The Specialist will manage projects from $200,000 to $100 Million+ and ensure that department service delivery objectives are integrated into the functional programming and design process. They will also ensure requirements of user groups are translated into working drawings and conversely explain preliminary drawings and specifications to user groups. The Specialist will be the lead on construction projects and represent the owner on the job site, at inspections, and at job site meetings. They will review all aspects of construction work and maintain records of construction and contract activity.
Responsibilities
• Develop and lead innovative projects
• Consult with leadership on planning and project management services
• Manage projects from $200,000 to $100 Million+
• Ensure department service delivery objectives are integrated into the functional programming and design process
• Translate user group requirements into working drawings
• Explain preliminary drawings and specifications to user groups
• Represent the owner on the job site, at inspections, and at job site meetings
• Review all aspects of construction work and maintain records of construction and contract activity
Requirements
• 3-5 years' experience developing and leading innovative projects
• Project Management Professional Certification
• Undergraduate degree or diploma in Interior Design
• Valid Class 5 driver's license
• Undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt to and implement change
• Knowledge in the Saskatchewan health care system
• Knowledge in organization's goals, vision, mission, and values
• Knowledge in the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Calls to Action
• Knowledge in First Nation and Metis history in Saskatchewan
• Ability to lead and coach others
• Exemplifies ethical practices, professionalism, and personal integrity
• Committed to delivering on patient and family-centered care
• Commitment to a diverse, representative workforce and cultural safety
