Applications Chemist (Halifax, NS) On-Site/Hybrid

Our client is a fast-growing startup with a unique product-based solution for a diverse range of industries. We are working closely with them to hire an Applications Chemist to join their expanding team.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Chemist with PhD or MSc in Analytical Chemistry, Instrumentation or related field (or BSc with strong credentials and experience.) Ideal candidate will have experience designing and implementing analytical instrumentation with a strong background in method development and optimization. The role is with a small but fast-growing team, requiring a self-starter with excellent problem solving skills who can also work in a highly collaborative mode both internally and with clients.

Responsibilities will include:

• assisting with design, set up, maintenance and troubleshooting of analytical instrumentation - including at customer sites
• validating analytical methods and client measurements for accuracy and compliance with third party lab results
• collecting user feedback to understand needs and preferences, preparing detailed reports on experimental findings and presenting results to team
• leading product enhancements based on customer feedback and findings
