We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Health Records Clerk at Pan Am Clinic. As a key member of our health records department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Retrieve and file patient records and reports in a timely and accurate manner
- Access and update patient information via our computer system
- Respond to telephone and in-person inquiries for patient records and information
- Assemble and process patient health records for discharged patients in accordance with established procedures
- Grade 12 education
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology
- Working knowledge of computers and keyboarding skills
- Ability to file accurately and maintain organized records
- Neat and legible penmanship
- Demonstrated understanding of the terminal digit filing system
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical strength to lift filing materials
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check, and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment.
Important NotePlease note that an employee is not permitted to hold two or more positions across the Pan Am Clinic that combine to equal more than 1.0 EFT.
