Position Summary

As a Bakery Associate at Walmart Canada, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills in the retail industry while providing exceptional customer service. This role involves maintaining and zoning the bakery area, assisting with stocking and sales, and ensuring the quality and visual appearance of bakery merchandise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the quality and visual appearance of bakery department merchandise, including bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
  • Maintain a fully stocked bakery department, ready for business.
  • Ensure merchandise is properly signed and priced.
  • Adhere to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, food handling, product rotation, and expiration dates.
  • Follow proper procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels, and food safety and handling.
  • Prepare bakery merchandise by accurately following thawing and baking guidelines.
  • Ensure all displays are secured in a safe and proper manner.
Compensation

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts at $17.85, with the potential for increase based on relevant experience.
