The Role

Our client has been in business for over 20 years, facing continuous growth, as one of the leading companies in the supply of roofing and building products. Currently seeking Warehouse Associates for the branch in Surrey, currently at a team of 8. The shift times for this opportunity run from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Preference is to be given to those withforklift experienceand preferably holding acertificate of operation, as well as inventory count experience.

Please note this job is project-based and temporary for 1 week, until Friday, August 9th, with the opportunity for an extension depending on performance.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring orders are processed correctly and verified before being loaded for shipment
  • Maintain a clean work environment and clear pathways for trucks and forklifts
  • Loading and unloading upcoming and outgoing shipments
  • Completes all paperwork and documentation required
  • Inventory management, and cycle counts
  • Reporting product shortages in a timely manner
  • Strong customer service skills if approached by a client. Keeping full professionalism in every interaction
  • Other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager

Requirements

  • 1-2+ years of warehousing and forklift experience
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and stand for extended periods of time
  • A strong team player having the natural initiative to support in other stations if required, as well as being able to work well independently
  • Able to maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Strong accountability, and ability to follow instructions
  • Remarkable attention to detail
  • Time management and organization
  • Capable of complying with health and safety regulations
