Your future role on our team

As a drafter, you will be contributing to projects related to mining processes, mechanics, industrial piping and plant systems (water, steam, compressed air). You will participate in preparing various types of drawings, such as fluid flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), fire protection diagrams and HVAC system diagrams. You will work with our engineers, technicians and designers and will be responsible for various project layouts.

• Apply BBA or client standards when drafting layouts, sketches, schematics or diagrams from detailed drawings;
• Produce preliminary plans for buildings, equipment or sites from reference drawings or catalogues;
• Participate in improving dynamic block libraries and other internal tools;
• Help more experienced colleagues with more complex tasks;
• When required, help prepare site surveys.

Overview of certifications and job requirements

• Diploma of vocational studies (DVS) in Building or Industrial Drafting or a diploma of college studies (DCS) in Mechanical, Building Mechanics or Architectural Engineering;
• Three years of relevant work experience or less;
• Proficiency with AutoCAD;
• Proficiency with MS Office;
• Good knowledge of Revit;
• Asset: knowledge of 3D software, such as SmartPlant 3D;
• Asset: bilingual (English and French).
