We are currently hiring a skilled Production Baker to join our team at Blacksmith Bakery in Maple Ridge. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for creating high-quality baked goods and desserts for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce a variety of baked goods and desserts, including pastries, cakes, and breads.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, meeting production deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Collaborate with our experienced kitchen team and master Pastry Chef to develop new recipes and improve existing ones.
  • Ensure accurate measurements and count-offs, using math skills to maintain quality and efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to food safety and handling protocols.

Requirements:

  • Pastry education or equivalent experience in a similar position.
  • 3 years of experience in a bakery or pastry production environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs safely, with the ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Availability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Red Seal certification or equivalent.
  • Level 1 and 2 Food Safe certifications.
