( Preference will be given to candidates willing to travel between multiple clinic locations if needed (Oakville & Georgetown) )

Looking for someone who demonstrates enthusiasm and strong motivation to deliver direct patient care at the forefront and offer guidance to patients undergoing diagnostic cycle monitoring. Exceptional communication abilities, empathy, and a compassionate demeanor are imperative, alongside a sincere commitment to delivering optimal treatment and fostering patient well-being. While previous experience in fertility is preferred, candidates who exhibit eagerness to specialize in reproductive care will undergo training.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Support physicians during clinic procedures.
  • Administer intramuscular/subcutaneous injections, conduct phlebotomy, venipuncture, and manage wound care dressing.
  • Deliver thorough counselling and educational sessions to patients regarding personalized cycle monitoring treatment plans and prescribed medications.
  • Serve as a communication bridge between physicians and patients to relay medical orders and clinical instructions effectively.
  • Maintain regular communication with patients regarding blood work results and treatment cycle protocols on a daily basis.
  • Oversee and aid in patient preparation and care pre, during, and post procedures, including coordinating Oocyte retrieval, embryo transfer/intrauterine insemination, and donor insemination.
  • Utilize Electronic Medical Record software (EMR) proficiently to administer patient care.
  • Maintain accurate, well-organized, and legible medical records in compliance with strict patient confidentiality protocols.
  • Provide empathetic emotional support and grief counselling to patients and their families experiencing challenges with conception.

  • Displays competence in clinical techniques, utilizing relevant equipment, and managing medical supplies effectively. Exhibits strong leadership qualities, organizational prowess, excellent time management, and critical thinking abilities, coupled with the capacity to navigate unpredictable scenarios.
  • Maintains a friendly and optimistic disposition, demonstrating cultural awareness and sensitivity.
  • Possesses a high degree of initiative and self-motivation.

Skills & Qualifications Required:

  • Possession of a valid Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) in good standing.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in a Canadian healthcare setting.
  • Experience in Assisted Reproduction is advantageous but not obligatory
  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
  • 1 year of experience in Fertility/Reproductive Nursing within a Fertility Clinic.
  • Certification in Phlebotomy is preferred.
