Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Psychologist - Masters $44.093 to $53.916
Job Description: This position will work with adjudicated youth and with other youth populations. The purpose of this psychology position is to work within a multi-disciplinary teams to provide assessment, treatment and consultation services to youth and their families. Youth will be involved in the criminal justice system. Services will need to be provided to youth both in the community and correctional settings. A crucial aspect of working with these youth is to identify educational needs, cognitive abilities; and behavioural and functional concerns that may impede their abilities to succeed in school. A central component of this position will be to develop comprehensive case management plans for high risk and high needs youth. Part of the requirements of this position will be to provide training to other professionals/paraprofessionals on strategies to work with adjudicated and nonadjudicated youth. Additional responsibilities may include program development and evaluation, student supervision.
