Responsibilities

  • Responsible for handling all ocean import deliveries
  • Coordinate all aspects of shipment process (booking, manifest, Bills of Lading and billing)
  • Review all shipment documentation to confirm accuracy and perform data entry
  • Follow up on customs and FDA releases
  • Last mile logistics for import shipments (ocean reefer containers)
  • Ensure all client special instructions are followed
  • Maintain effective relationship with clients and answer general inquiries regarding shipment status
  • Book cargo with transportation companies
  • Tracking status with ocean carriers and keeping clients/agents advised of status
  • Maintain customer profiles
Qualifications

  • 1 year experience in ocean imports or exports
  • Tech savvy
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Customer service skills
  • English necessary, Spanish is an asset
