About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and charismatic Bartender to join our team at Tonic House, a vibrant and dynamic cocktail bar and social hub. As a valued member of our Food and Beverage team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences and showcasing your expertise in mixology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Craft and Serve Signature Cocktails: Prepare and serve our seasonal cocktail menu, including signature drinks, mocktails, wine, and beer, following established recipes and quality standards.
  • Provide Exceptional Customer Service: Engage with guests, take orders, and make personalized recommendations to ensure a memorable experience.
  • Maintain a Clean and Organized Bar: Ensure a clean, well-stocked, and organized bar area, adhering to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
  • Process Transactions Accurately: Process transactions efficiently through our point of sale system.
  • Develop New Cocktail Recipes: Demonstrate proficiency in recipe development for future cocktail bar programs and special events.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with all alcohol-serving regulations and policies.
  • Troubleshoot A/V Issues: Confidently troubleshoot A/V issues in Tonic House.
  • Host Community Events: Host or co-host community events as outlined in the Tonic House calendar.
  • Foster a Positive Team Atmosphere: Uphold the Tonic House house rules and etiquette standards, promoting a positive and energetic team environment.
  • Commit to Continuous Learning: Show a commitment to continuous learning and development as a bartender.
About You:
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a cocktail bar, cafe, or hospitality environment is preferred.
  • Certifications: Smart Serve certification is required. Food Handlers certification is an asset, but not required.
