Speech Language Pathologist required to provide services to adult population in a rehabilitation setting.
The Speech Language Pathologist will plan, organize and implement speech and language services, completing assessments and treatments according to departmental procedure and established standards of practice.
The ideal candidate will have a Master of Speech Language Pathology degree and be a member of the Saskatchewan Association of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists.
The Speech Language Pathologist will work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team, traveling within the region and provincially.
The successful candidate will have advanced communication, organizational and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
The Speech Language Pathologist will be responsible for:
- Completing speech, language, and swallowing/feeding assessments and treatments
- Working with adult population in a rehabilitation setting
- Traveling within the region and provincially
Preferred qualifications include:
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
- HSAS membership
Competencies:
- Advanced - Communication skills
- Advanced - Organizational skills
- Advanced - Interpersonal skills
Knowledge and Abilities:
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Other Information:
- Preference to HSAS members as per the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement
- HSAS seniority in the SHA will be considered under the selection criteria
