Job Overview
The Reliability Standards Analyst will be a key member of the AESO's Legal & Regulatory Affairs team, working closely with the Legal Manager, Technical, Operating and Reliability Rules and Standards. This role will involve drafting and assisting in the development of Alberta Reliability Standards (ARS) and associated documentation, while ensuring knowledge sharing within the AESO.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal clients and external stakeholders.
- Assist in the preparation of stakeholder consultation materials and provide support during consultation sessions.
- Collaborate with the ARS core team to ensure efficient and effective development of ARS.
- Provide ongoing support to the Legal Managers as required.
Requirements
- University Degree with minimum 3 years previous applied experience in regulatory program development, standards drafting, implementation, and utility experience.
- Demonstrated comprehensive understanding of regulatory requirements within the scope of ARS and their impact on the Alberta Interconnected Electrical System (AIES).
- Previous experience in a regulatory role involving the Alberta Utilities Commission (AUC), Market Surveillance Administrator (MSA), Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC), and/or North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC).
