As a Starbucks Shift Supervisor, you will play a key role in executing store operations during scheduled shifts. You will assist the store manager in leading a team of partners to create the Starbucks Experience for our customers by providing exceptional customer service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable store environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Model and act in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles and values.
  • Deploy partners and delegate tasks to ensure seamless store operations.
  • Anticipate customer and store needs by constantly evaluating the environment and customers for cues.
  • Communicate effectively with the store manager to ensure the team is responding to customer needs.
  • Assist with new partner training by providing positive reinforcement and coaching as needed.
  • Provide feedback to the store manager on partner performance during shifts.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment by recognizing and addressing individual motivation, needs, and concerns.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by acting with a customer-first attitude and connecting with customers.
  • Develop positive relationships with shift team members by understanding and addressing individual motivation, needs, and concerns.
  • Execute store operations during scheduled shifts, including opening and closing duties as assigned.
  • Follow Starbucks operational policies and procedures to ensure the safety of all partners during each shift.
  • Follow all cash management and cash register policies to ensure proper cash management practices are followed by the shift team.
  • Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
  • Provide quality beverages, whole bean, and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards.
  • Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products.
  • Recognize and reinforce individual and team accomplishments by using existing organizational tools and collaborating with the store manager to find new and effective methods of recognition.
  • Utilize operational tools to achieve operational excellence during shifts.
Summary of Experience
  • Customer service experience in a retail or restaurant environment.
