We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Heavy Duty Cleaning Specialist to join our team at Compass Canada. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our industrial facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Cleaning and Maintenance: Perform heavy cleaning tasks, including the cleaning of hard floor surfaces, surfaces reached by ladder or scaffolding, and the collection and removal of garbage.
- Equipment Operation: Operate cleaning equipment, such as buffing machines, and maintain the cleanliness of equipment and tools.
- Garbage and Recycling: Transport garbage from drop points to garbage bins or compactors, and ensure the proper disposal of waste.
- Facilities Support: Assist with the maintenance of facilities, including the cleaning of stairwells, elevator cabs, and washrooms.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all cleaning tasks are completed to a high standard, and report any issues or concerns to management.
- Experience: Previous experience in cleaning or housekeeping is required.
- Communication: Ability to comprehend and communicate detailed instructions orally and in writing.
- Physical Demands: Physically able to carry out duties of the position, including lifting and carrying cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve common goals.
