As a Grocery Associate at Walmart Canada, you will be responsible for providing top-notch customer service by adhering to the company's basic beliefs and values. Your duties will include maintaining and zoning the grocery area, assisting with stocking and the sale of goods, and ensuring that the merchandise is properly signed and priced.
- Zones the department and ensures it is ready for business.
- Rotates stock and checks for expired products.
- Follows proper procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels, and food safety and handling.
- Ensures that the department is fully stocked with merchandise and follows Health and Safety guidelines.
- Assists with stocking merchandise and applying product protection when required.
- Follows proper procedures for setting and completing modulars, including flex modulars and setting new shelf caps.
The following are the minimum qualifications required for this position:
- Basic knowledge of retail operations and customer service principles.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity standards.
- Basic math skills and attention to detail.
The following are the preferred qualifications for this position:
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment. li>Basic knowledge of food safety and handling procedures.
