How you will make an impact:
You will be in charge of maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of various kitchen items such as dishes, glassware, pots, pans, trays, and utensils. Your responsibility will include ensuring that the kitchen, work areas, and equipment are kept in an organized and hygienic state. As a Dishwasher, you will:
  • Clean and sanitize all kitchen items according to specific procedures and using designated equipment
  • Polish silverware using various methods like burnishing machines, chemical dips, buffing wheels, and hand cloths
  • Keep the dish and kitchen area clean, ensure equipment functionality and adherence to safety regulations
  • Wash different surfaces like worktables, walls, refrigerators, and more
  • Dispose of trash properly and clean garbage cans using steam or hoses
  • Assist in handling supplies, products, and equipment between storage and work areas
  • Perform other assigned duties and tasks
About you:
  • Possession of a valid Food Handler Certificate or its provincial equivalent is required
  • Capability to thrive in a dynamic work environment
  • Previous experience in dishwashing is an asset but not mandatory
  • Familiarity with industrial washing machines is advantageous
  • Ability to handle work efficiently under pressure
  • Physical capability to carry out job responsibilities successfully
