Provincial Travel Nurse Team Member

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Travel Nurse Specialist to join our team at Pan Am Clinic. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to patients with complex and unpredictable health needs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide professional nursing services to patients, including independent nursing services and administration of prescribed medical treatments.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and discharge.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop strategies to address these needs.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Minimum one (1) year recent work experience as a Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
- Graduate of an approved Registered Psychiatric Nursing program or approved Registered Nursing program required, or an approved Licensed Practical Nursing Education program is required.
- Active registration with the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba (CRPNM) or the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM) is required.
- Active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba (CLPNM) is required.
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Training requirements for this position shall be in accordance with Employer policy.
- Knowledge of College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba Standards of Practice for Registered Nurses.
- Knowledge of Canadian Nurses Association Code of Ethics for Registered Nurses.
- Knowledge of Scope of practice as documented in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA).
- Knowledge of College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba Standards of Practice for Licensed Practical Nurses.
- Knowledge of College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba Code of Ethics for Licensed Practical Nurses.
- Knowledge of Regional/Facility/Unit policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines.
- Knowledge of Nursing care knowledge related to clinical area assigned.
- Knowledge of Personal Health Information Act (PHIA), Protection of Persons in Care Act, Mental Health Act, Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS), Principles of Routine Practices (Universal Precautions) and other legislated acts.
- Knowledge of Roles and responsibilities of members of the healthcare team.
- Knowledge of Principles of delegation.
