Registered Dietitian sought to provide nutritional care and support to residents in two senior living communities.

**Lake Country Lodge Retirement and Care Community** is located in a quiet area of Lake Country, while **Lakeview Lodge Care Community** is situated in West Kelowna, offering a cottage-like atmosphere with city conveniences.

**Schedule:**

  • **Lake Country Lodge**: 2.5 hours every 2 weeks
  • **Lakeview Lodge**: 9 hours per week

**Compensation:** $70.00 per hour

As a Registered Dietitian, you will play a critical role in the lives of residents, impacting their nutritional care and well-being. Your day will be filled with:

  • Planning, organizing, and evaluating residents' nutritional care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Providing nutritional care, including assessments, reassessments, and developing appropriate nutrition interventions in consultation with the team.
  • Developing therapeutic menus for special diets not included in the therapeutic menu extensions.
  • Identifying and mitigating nutrition-related risks and implementing interventions to manage them.
  • Providing nutrition and dietary counseling or education to residents and their caregivers.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

**Requirements:**

  • Degree from an accredited Food and Nutrition university program.
  • Member of the College of Dietitians of Ontario/British Columbia.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a Long Term Care setting.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care dietary and nutrition regulations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of appropriate interventions in nutritional care for Long Term Care setting needs.
